Services
We provide Occupational Therapy assessment, advice and intervention for children, young people, young adults and, where appropriate, adults. Our work focuses on helping individuals participate more confidently in everyday activities at home, in education and in the wider community.

Occupational Therapy Assessment
We provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments for children, young people and young adults who may be experiencing difficulties with everyday activities, sensory processing, motor skills, emotional regulation, independence, education access or functional participation. Assessments may include discussion with parents or carers, liaison with education staff, observation in familiar environments, use of appropriate assessment tools and clinical analysis of the person’s strengths and needs. Following assessment, we provide clear recommendations and, where required, a written report suitable for families, schools, colleges, local authorities or EHCP processes.

Sensory Integration & Sensory Processing Support
We support children and young people who experience sensory processing differences that affect daily life, learning, emotional regulation or participation. This may include assessment of sensory needs, sensory regulation strategies, sensory diets, environmental recommendations, staff or parent advice, and therapy programmes to support regulation and participation across home, school or college.

Therapy Intervention
Following assessment, we may offer direct Occupational Therapy intervention where this is clinically indicated. Therapy may focus on areas such as motor skills, functional independence, sensory regulation, emotional regulation, handwriting, self-care, confidence, transitions, play skills, school participation or daily routines. Intervention is tailored to the individual’s needs and reviewed regularly.

Education & EHCP Support
We provide Occupational Therapy input for schools, colleges, families and local authorities. This may include education-based assessments, EHCP advice, Section F recommendations, annual review input, professional reports, provision planning and liaison with education staff. We aim to provide clear, practical and evidence-informed recommendations that support access, participation and independence within education settings.

Equipment, Seating & Environmental Advice
We can assess how the physical environment may be affecting participation, comfort, safety or independence. This may include advice around seating, posture, specialist equipment, assistive technology, classroom adaptations, home-based strategies and environmental modifications to support daily functioning.

Young Adults & Adult Occupational Therapy
Although our service primarily supports children, young people and young adults, we may also work with adults where their needs fall within our areas of clinical expertise. This may include support with sensory processing, emotional regulation, functional independence, equipment, home safety, seating, posture or environmental adaptations.

My Therapy Services is proud to work in partnership with Portland Assessments, supporting children and young people with complex needs as they transition through education and into adulthood.
Through this collaboration, we contribute specialist Occupational Therapy input to ensure assessments are holistic, person-centred and focused on meaningful, functional outcomes. Our role supports the identification of strengths, needs and practical strategies that enable young people to thrive in education, training and independent living.
This partnership reflects our shared commitment to high-quality, evidence-based assessment and joined-up working across education, therapy and families.
